L Series: Error: "Terminal server yet not ready, please retry attempt a bit later"

If you use a L Series Legacy Device (L100, L110, L120, or L200) device, these are outdated, need to be upgraded and because of their age may have little or no support available.  Models L130 and L230 are more recent legacy products and will connect to both vSpace 4 and vSpace 6 only.

We suggest to check out our new line of products and consult your sales representative or authorized partner about updating your product.  You can also check the NComputing Product Lifecycle page in order to identify your product and determine its support status.

Also, "Classic Versions" like vSpace 6 will be permanently discontinued after June 30th, 2020.
Please upgrade promptly to our latest platform  vSpace Pro
If you need technical support to guide you on your upgrade, you can contact us here.

Registering a "Classic" version of vSpace incurs a registration fee.  This service will no longer be available at the date said above.

When attempting to connect an L-series access device to a vSpace host visible on the network, the connection fails and the error "Terminal server yet not ready, please retry attempt a bit later" appears.

Solution 1
Consider repairing vSpace or re-install it. (Notice the warning above) It is best to upgrade promptly to our latest platform  vSpace Pro

Solution 2
Verify if the error is triggered because of a conflict with an installed nVidia video card.
In the event viewer, under system, check if you see any errors showing "hpvcard.dll failed to initialize".
If you do find this error, go to the registry and add the following key to the host:

[HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SYSTEM\CurrentControlSet\Control\Session Manager\Memory Management]
“SessionImageSize”=dword:00000020

Where 00000020 is hex for 32

If this does not help, you may contact NComputing Tech Support for assistance.

One more thing.  The error message addressed in this article is only shown on an L Series Legacy Device.  Some models, because of their age, there may have little or no support available.

You can also check the NComputing Product Lifecycle page in order to identify your product and determine the device's support status.
